We will be staying in one of London's most historic houses, the Georgian home of Captain William Bligh. Bligh, of "Mutiny on the Bounty" fame, was also Governor of NSW from 1806-1808, and a remarkably gifted navigator. His house, opposite the grounds of the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth, was built in the 1780s. Following damage during World War II, it was restored and now provides accommodation in five self contained apartments. Our apartment is the Royal Suite, and was once Captain Bligh's drawing room.
